Many of us experience that prickle feeling with the body hair standing on end and the skin look like „goose bumps“ time and again. It is usually associated or identified with chills, shiver and certain emotional states. In seer Nestors‘ teaching, the prickle feeling is experienced as a burst of energy that is released into the „picture as a whole“ whereby the floater spheres and strands are illuminated. In this article, we’ll find that this prickle is informative and effective in the fields of health care and spirituality in general. This is suggested by both medical studies and the experience of spiritual masters of different cultures.

Wilhelm Reich studied this phenomenon as Orgone Energy (source)
Hi Francesca, Thanks a lot for your hint! I'm aware of the Orgone phenomenon researched by Austrian-American Psychologist Wilhelm Reich (1897-1957). However, as I understand it, Reich didn't do research on what physiology/ophthalmology calls „vitreous floaters“, but on so-called „blue field entoptic phenomenon“, i.e. little flashy starlets which rapidly move in curved tracks in our field of vision, best seen while looking against blue light or against the sky for some time. From a modern medical point of view, it is a phenomenon related to white blood cells flowing in the capillaries of the retina but only becoming visible well in situations with extreme physical challenges. As such, shocks, dizzy spells and imminent blackouts, in combination with insuf¬ficient blood circulation in the optic nerve and the rear eye wall, can lead to the phenomenon of such “flying corpuscles” or “luminous spots”. In the fields of spirituality and holistic healing, these starlets are sometimes interpreted as visually perceivable universal life energy, or prana/chi. Wilhelm Reich was thinking along the lines of such a vitalism. In the 1930s and 1940s, he conducted controversial experiments in biophysics which showed that organic material is animated by a subtle energy he called “Orgone”. Reich explained many optical and visual phenomena by his Orgone theory, flying corpuscles among them. Today, some of Reich’s disciples use this entoptic phenomenon as meditation object (see: www.orgon.de) – a kind of open eye meditation that makes perfect sense to me, like meditation on floater spheres and strings. Dear readers,
do you have personal experiences with eye floaters or other entoptic
phenomena? Or any suggestions what they could be? Send your hints, experiences
and/or pictures to me, I am very interested.

Eye floaters and their meaning were interpreted differently depending on the time, culture and personality of the observer. We learn a spiritually meaningful perspective about floaters from Nestor, the seer, with whom I have studied and whose teachings I recorded in the book „Mouches volantes – Eye Floaters as Shining Structure of Consciousness“. In this category, a particular statement from the book on floaters shall be presented and explained.
From: Mouches Volantes – Eye Floaters. The Shining Structure of Consciousness, p. 197. (source)
One of the most striking aspects of our dots and strings is their agility. Whenever we focus on them, they disappear from our central visual field. Even if we keep our eyes still, they do not simply stop moving but slowly sink down until we are no longer able to see them. Why is this sinking down? The seers have two explanations that complement each other. The one given in the quotation above is of scientific kind: floaters sink because they are influenced by the attractive force of matter. In this case, seers and ophthalmologists argue very similarly. The ophthalmological statement explains vitreous floaters as clumps in the eye which are attracted by Earth’s gravity. This statement does not hold true as it disregards the inversion of the retinal image – for particles that sink down in the vitreous should be seen rising up by the viewer which invalidates the argument of gravity (cf. German Newsletter 1/10). If the seers speak about the attractive force of matter, they simultaneoulsy state that the shining spheres and strands are a form of matter, no matter how subtle. However, they do not care about locating floaters. Since the seers understand our everyday world as an emanation of the shining structure, the attractive force that works in this structure may be understood as a kind of archetype of Earth’s gravity. According to the visionary experience of Nestor, we can cover a path in this structure which leads from a larger number of dots and strings to a constellation of a few spheres. This experience tells us that there is more mass in the lower regions of the shining structure which attracts the upper dots and strings. This conclusion combines with the second explanation regarding the attractive force in the shining structure: the attractive force can be overcome by our consciousness. This can be done in several ways: by advancing into more distant layers of consciousness where we expect to find our source sphere; by a burst of energy induced, for example, by relaxing in the sun for some time; and not least by a corresponding way of life that increases energy and the ability of changing the layers of consciousness. The flowing down of the dots and strands reflects what happens to our consciousness – it always tends to “sink” into what we experience as daydreaming, absent-mindedness, and ultimately unconsciousness. The effort to be clear and awake in the here and now, however, is nothing but the effort to hold the spheres and strings in suspension. May
we all succeed!
The category "Quarterly Picture" introduces realistic, artistic, and/or spiritual/religious representations from different cultures and times which could show entoptic phenomena, or be inspired by it. The Frenchman Pierre Woeiriot (1532-1596) was one of the so-called “Little Masters”, a group of 16th century artists dedicated to very delicate and detailed works in small formats, mainly engravings. Born in a family of goldsmiths, he pursued the family’s traditional profession until 1555 when he started to focus on engraving. In 1561, he accepted dealer Antoine God’s commission to engrave 36 plates illustrating the Old Testament. These plates were published in 1580.
One of Woeiriots 36 engravings is “Adam and Eve in Paradise”. God is shown in the form of a shining sphere that contains the Hebrew letters JHWE (= Jahwe, Lord, God). It is not unusual in the visual arts of different cultures to represent the “holy” as a circle or a sphere (cf. German Newsletters 3/2007, 4/2007, 2/2008 and 4/2008) . The interesting thing about this plate is the depicted connection between God and man. The Bible says: “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them” (Gen 1,27). Even more concrete is Genesis 2,7: “And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.” The biblical creation of man shows parallels to the seers’ teaching that we are “attached” to a particular sphere in the shining structure. From this sphere, we have grown from mere awareness to an embodied person. The seers’ “path in the basic structure”, or consciousness development respectively, can be understood as the reversed creation process insofar as we try to get back to this one primordial sphere. This notion is based on the visual experience of seer Nestor who reports to approach this one sphere in the upper left hemisphere of the “picture” – as is also shown in the plate by Woeiriot – in intense states of consciousness. This sphere, called “source” by the seers, is at the same time a tube in that it reproduces itself on every layer of consciousness between the observer and the observed. The radiant light of the “source” is experienced by the seers as nourishing light of awareness – possibly a parallel to “God’s breath” which the Bible is referring to. From a seer’s perspective, the Genesis creation of man “in God’s own image” would mean that man is in fact a shining sphere, be it a “male” one (bright center, dark surround) or a “female” one (dark center, bright surround). In Woeiriot’s “Adam and Eve”, this is indicated by the great nimbus or halo radiating from Adam. We are “in God’s image” not as personal and embodied beings but as radiating energy or pure consciousness respectively.
You will find this and other pictures in the gallery. Do you have drawings of eye floaters or other entoptic phenomena (flying corpuscles, afterimages etc.)? Do you know of realistic, artistic, and religious representations of such appearances? Then send me the picture or give me the tip; I would like to publish it in the newsletter and/or in the gallery.
