Vitrectomy and Laser by Vitreous Opacities

The purpose of this article is to inform about the two kinds of treatment for vitreous floaters offered at present: the laser treatment and the vitrectomy. Floco Tausin explains why these treatments do not have the intentional effect on most of the persons affected, and why it is impossible until today to treat most of the eye floaters in a conventional, materialistic way.

Do You Wish to Treat Your Floaters?

Some of you are really desperated as the eye floaters have an impact on your life. In short, they cause a change which you do not wish to undergo. Therefore, you would go far in order to get rid of them. You may have heard of possibilities such as laser treatment and vitrectomy or they were recommended to you. You informed yourselves, and you know that the laser treatment and the vitrectomy can be succesful. You might ask yourselves, if such treatment could be working for you, too.

Well, let us take a close look at this:

First, let me repeat what was already said in the Introduction: Here we do not care about the diffuse, cloudy, overall appearances that indicate actual opacities in the vitreous or retinal detachment. Instead I exclusively refer to those eye floaters which are said to be harmless and due to the age; they are usually perceived as sharply outlined and transparent dots and strings; and they cannot be seen by the eye doctor but exactly be drawn by the affected person.
To differentiate between the so called harmless, flexible and clear distinct floaters, and the problematic diffuse dimming (infiltration): see illustration (pdf file).

The Laser Treatment

Concerning the treatment with the laser (Nd-YAG), the following point is of importance: The few laser specialists promising cure of the disturbing dots and strings in the eye cannot do anything against the floaters. The strict conditions that must be fulfilled by a patient suffering from vitreous opacities in order to make the curing possible, are informative: To begin with, the number of the opacities has to be small. Furthermore, the distance of the floaters both to the lens and to the retina has to be sufficient to allow a save treatment. Additionally, there are conditions concerning the state of the retina as well as the seize, kind, and flexibility of the floaters. In any case the eye doctor must be able to discover and photograph them. In contrast, if they appear as clear distinct dots and strings instead of a diffuse mass; if they are highly flexible and may be precisely drawn by the patient but cannot be noticed and photographed by the doctor – then these opacities are not treatable. And this applies to the floaters I am concerned with. This confirms that vitreous floaters cannot be treated using the laser. Even worse: According to reports of patients, new floaters may appear in the field of vision due to the laser treatment.

The Vitrectomy

The vitrectomy is an operation in which the vitreous is sucked away either entirely or to the largest part and is then replaced by water, gas or silicone oil. This operation is mostly carried out in case of serious injuries on the retina and the vitreous, and indeed can be very effective in such situations. However, in case of vitreous floaters the vitrectomy usually will not be realized for two reasons: First, eye doctors tend to classify the floaters as too harmless for such an operation; and second, it is not granted that after the vitrectomy the disturbing dots and strings will not be noticed anymore as the vitreous can never be sucked away up to the retina. Logically, there will always remain individual particles in the eye which are likely to throw shadows on the retina.
Whoever wants to try out the vitrectomy must put up with after-effects, in most cases cataract, as well as renewed retinal injuries up to the loss of the visual sense. As improved procedures limit the after-effets today, and the condition of the patients are no longer as horrifying as it used to be, the floaters only vitrectomy is offered more easily and often by eye doctors – a development which is controverically discussed among the ophthalmologists. To summarize: The vitrectomy is not to recommend as it still fails to be a safe and effective procedure if you want to get rid of your eye floaters.

Conclusion:
The Eye Floaters Discussed here cannot be „Cured“ neither by the Laser (Nd-YAG) nor by the Vitrectomy

Surely, there are entoptic appearances which indicate a retinal detachment or other serious complications in the eye and which can be treated by the laser or the vitrectomy. However, anyone who reads attentively the forum for discussions on eye floaters will notice that these cases clearly represent a minority. The main problem is that phenomenons refering to real eye diseases are often lumped together with those vitreous floaters discussed in this article. Unfortunately, this evokes confusion and fear among the affected people.
Having explained all that, it should be clear that floaters cannot be “cured”. Up to this day there has not been a medical and materialistic solution for it. There is only one solution for persons suffering from eye floaters: The knowledge of the real nature of the floaters – a knowledge which is not to be attained by the “school medicine”.

The Problem of Ignorance

The knowledge which nowadays is promoted and maintained is a materialistic knowledge as it bases on materialistic presupposes. The philosophy of materialism assumes that any appearance that we are able to perceive with our senses can be attributed or reduced to material basic elements. Nothing can go beyond the materia, even “spirit” or “consciousness” is supposed to have a material (biological, neurophysical, chemical) basis – and anything that cannot be proved empirically is irrelevant or simply non-existent.
Seers like Nestor reject such a thinking as incomplete. For them, the one-sided creation of materialistic values is nothing but ignorance. In this sense, physicians are ignorants if they are searching for materialistic solutions for an eye abnormality, disease or simply for a harmless but undesired aging process. With their advices, those doctors work against the only solution for vitreous floaters: The real knowledge about these dots and strings which can be obtained through the progress of the own consciousness development.
Furthermore, affected people who cry louder and louder for surgical solutions are ignorants, too. Similarly they will think of material particles in or an increased density of the vitreous. Thinking that way, they try hard to get rid of their floaters. They are affected people who think of themselves as victims of an insidious eye disease – insidious because their everyday life will be changing.

The Proper Dealing with Vitreous Floaters

The seer Nestor describes the floaters as the first appearances of a shining structure. This structure is created by our consciousness.
This knowledge, however, is of no use to us as long as we do not experience it by ourselves. It is only through proper consciousness development that we are able to gradually reveal and see this structure. Everyone of us has the ability to become a seer of the consciousness.
Therefore work to improve yourselves. If you are worried by those floaters then do not seek help from the medicine but help yourselves. Examine the floaters. Study them. Do not ignore them but look at them. Until the fears and worries will disappear. And as soon as this happens, you will be able to perceive the floaters unprejudiced and calmly as what they actually are: neither illness, nor abnormality. Floaters are dots and strings that you may enrich with the light of your consciousness.
To put it in a nutshell in Nestor’s words: Consider your floaters as appearances of your own consciousness structure that will develop and light up if you live accordingly to your consciousness. Do not regard the vitreous floaters as the end of your previous everyday life, but rather as the beginning of a new, definitely more spiritual life.
